Thomas Wilson Clapham was born in Arkansas in 1900, and graduated with a degree in engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1923. Clapham was Little Rock’s first full time engineer. His obvious skill as a draughtsman, combined with his innate love of drawing and painting is clearly recognizable in the sheer volume and quality of work he produced over a career spanning more than fifty years.
